Everyone comments on the packaging - it's really well constructed and has REALLY nice details like the ribbon and the scalloped edge - and the size is perfect for somewhere between 12-18 typical size homemade cookies.
I line it with a strip of parchment paper before packing it.

These are very well packaged, and are a good high-quality material. They are as shown in the photos and come with all the accessories you need for gifting. If you are a crafty person or someone who sells crafty or handmade items, these would be excellent for you. The boxes themselves are true to size and much bigger than expected.
I found for smaller ornaments, even with filling these boxes were too large. For the larger ornaments though, these were perfect and just what I needed!
For the shortbread cookies, I found when using these boxes and having to stack the shortbread on top of one another, I was worried about the design on top off. This is not an issue with the boxes themselves, but my choice of boxes style. The cookies are better in a longer thinner, rectangular box. I am simply sharing my experience in case someone else is considering these for the same purpose
I also found that the scallop edge and arched closure on top, was not some thing that I loved. Again, this is a personal opinion on the aesthetic. I felt the scallop edge made it a little too cute for what I was going for as I prefer a cleaner crisper and more secure closure to my packages. This also made it so it is difficult to wrap in wrapping paper. I do recognize that the nature of these boxes is meant so that you do not have to wrap and wrapping paper and can gift them as is, however, I like to wrap my gifts with wrapping paper, but these boxes would not be suitable or easy to use for that.
These are a great item for certain uses and are very well-made. I do recommend them!
